Scouting Report
Sondre Grøndahl is a prototype cornerback with the size, athletic ability, and football intelligence to translate well to the college level. At 6’0”, 195 pounds, he has the frame coaches look for in an outside corner, and he plays with the confidence and physicality that matches his build.
Sondre has the ability to line up against most outside receivers and compete without needing much help. He is physical at the line of scrimmage, athletic enough to carry routes downfield, and disciplined enough to stay in position throughout the play. When matched against faster opponents, his technique and recovery speed allow him to stay competitive and still make plays on the football.
One of Sondre’s best traits is his situational awareness. He understands down and distance, route concepts, and how to adjust his leverage based on the situation. His football IQ allows him to play fast without being reckless, and he consistently shows the ability to make smart decisions in coverage.
Sondre brings a strong combination of size, speed, physicality, and intelligence to the cornerback position. He projects as more than just a capable college defensive back. With the right program, he has the potential to become a true difference maker and a reliable impact player in the secondary.
