Matej Urban is a high-upside wide receiver prospect with the size, movement ability, and playmaking traits to develop into a real weapon at the next level. At 6’2”, 185 pounds, he has the frame coaches look for in an outside receiver, while still showing the athletic ability to create separation and produce after the catch.

Although his recorded 40-yard dash is 4.7, Matej consistently plays faster on the field. His game speed looks closer to that of a 4.5 player, especially when he is attacking space, separating after the catch, or accelerating away from defenders. That functional speed is one of the reasons he remains a constant threat in the passing game.

What separates Matej is his ability with the ball in his hands. After the catch, he becomes an evasive and physical ball carrier who consistently finds ways to gain tough yards. He has a strong ability to turn short completions into explosive plays, often taking 4–5 yard gains and turning them into 20+ yard game-changing moments.

At the next level, Matej will benefit from a program that can continue developing his route running while also maximizing his natural ability as a ball carrier. With the right coaching and offensive fit, he has the potential to become a difference maker and a player any program would be proud to have.
